Iceland is a very developed country. The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is fairly higher than average which means it is economically stable and consistent. The overall GDP of Iceland is $16.15 billion and its rank is 153 in the world.
The population growth rate of Iceland is in control in an effort to forestall overpopulation of that State. The birth and death rates are in the fourth to fifth stage of the demographic transition model. Population under the age of 15 is about twenty percent of the total population which means the dependency ratio is higher. The literacy rate of Iceland is significantly high. Literacy rates also influence population control because most of the time, illiteracy leads to overpopulation as people have no knowledge
