How big is the war on poverty. Over the years, it drastically decreased. Sometimes we may even forget that poverty is still around and impacts people greatly. There are still many people and children suffering everyday and not being able to get an education. They have to worry about what or when their next meal will be. You may want to think that the reason poverty is still around, is because of us. Poverty has reduced so much that we forget that there are people that are in need of help, and we do not do anything. The parents are not the ones to blame for this most times. There are many reason a parent could be living in poverty with their child. In “At Least They’ll Be fed”, Anthony Faiola described the kids as “skin and bones and parents can't feed their children, also that parents are leaving their children on the streets” (Faiola). Parents have to suffer with hearing their kids say that they are hungry.
