Football is americas sport. Football is the most watched sport in america. It is a physical sport were people tackle, truck and try to hurt each other. There are two types of players there are offense and there is defence. On the field there is a offense and a defense.
There are so many rules for football but some of the newest and most present rules are “12-4-1 A player who is penalized twice in one game for certain types of unsportsmanlike conduct fouls is disqualified from that game. “ and “4-5-1, 4-6-5 Makes it a foul for delay of game when a team timeout is erroneously granted.” and “12-2-3 Makes all chop blocks illegal.”. There are many rules for scoring but some of the most important are “ A touchdown is scored when: (a) the ball is on, above, or behind the plane of the opponents’ goal line (extended) and is in possession of a runner who has advanced from the field of play into the end zone (b) a ball in possession of an airborne runner is on, above, or behind the plane of the goal line, and some part of the ball passed over or inside the pylon (c) a ball in player possession touches the pylon, provided that, after contact by an opponent, no part of the player’s body, except his hands or feet, struck the ground before the ball touched the pylon (d) any player who is legally in bounds catches or recovers a loose ball (3-2-4) that is on, above, or behind the opponent’s goal line (e) the Referee awards a touchdown to a team that has been denied one by a palpably unfair act”. Some reasons are that Britain created the word ‘soccer’, and the U.S. started using the term and then the British though it was “too American” to continue using, so they stopped using it and started saying ‘football’. In the article, Thomas states “Americans’ use of the term ‘soccer’ continues to incite frustration among those loyal to the original name of the game.”. This means that many people who call in ‘football’ get frustrated when an American calls it soccer and not football.
One of the most popular sports in America is American football. The high school years are the time to learn football. Two High schools that often face each other are ACV and Union Falcons and Knights and the Punxsutawney Chucks. ACV and Union Jr High Football is better than Punxsutawney Jr High Football by being better on offense, more aggressive on defense and having our special teams always ready to hit someone. Our offense is a lot better than Punxsy’s.
They are very different and have multiple different formations and different offensive fronts. They can change the play when they are lined up without having to huddle. For most people college ball is easier to understand because it’s basic. Some think it’s hard to understand the NFL because its way more complicated when it comes to the play calling.
