To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a novel about a girl who gets bullied at school because her father was fighting for justice. However, he is fighting for a brilliant cause, so he could get the black man out of the conflict he is in, but there is a white man with the name of Mr. Underwood’s who is with Atticus because he thinks that black people are good people. When Atticus has been with the black man, Scouts friends started hating her because they thought she loved black people. Mr. Underwood’s he is a news reporter that is with Atticus because he wants to get the black man out of the conflict he is in. The only odd thing about this is that Atticus does not want to teach them how to use it or shoot it, but he mentions something really weird “I'd rather you shot at tin cans in the back yard, but I know you'll go after birds. Shoot all the blue jays you want, if you can hit 'em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird”. This is weird because he does not want to teach them how to shoot, and it is the first time Atticus mentions that shooting a mockingbird is a sin. He is right because they are very equal to humans, and they make humans proud. The mockingbirds they sing bring purity to the hearts of humans. Jem and Scout they both learn as progressing in the novel those mockingbirds should never be shot down because they do not bring any harm to humans and therefore they should not be harmed. This is the same thing with the law suit against the black person; he did not do anything, so therefore nothing harmful should be done to him.
