Q1. The relationship between Aunt Baba and Adeline is one of strong bonds. This can be shown because every award, certificate and any report she ever gets, is locked away in a chest for safe keeping. They key to the box is always kept on a chain that Aunt Baba wears to keep it both safe and away from others. Aunt Baba probably cares for her because her mother was her best friend and she may see Adeline as her own. Aunt Baba is one of the few people who see Adeline not as bad luck but as a beautiful bright young girl.

He knew his mother quite well and blamed Adeline for her death. He often teases and/or hurts Adeline because to him she is "bad luck" and "a curse".

Q7. Adeline 's brothers and sisters have many rivalries between themselves, but one main rivalry is of course against Adeline herself. One of Adelines biggest rivalries is of her eldest sister. On a regular basis, she would either hurt or tease her, sometimes it was both. She would often make decisions that were unfair and/or hurtful. One of these is when she decides to stay after school leaving Adeline to sit in the cold and snow for a few hours.

Adeline 's brothers have rivalries between themselves as well. They are normally found rough-housing with each other, though all of it is normally playing sometimes it gets out of hand. But in the end, it all leads back to Adeline. Even Third brother will tease and hurt her, despite not particularly hating her. ~Chapters 5-6~

Q1. Niang attitude towards the living quarters in their new home showed that she loathed her step-children, but thinks highly of her own. She explained that no one may enter their rooms without prior permission from both parents and the person who currently resides there. But the rooms for her step-children are open to everyone and they may come and go as they please. They also must keep their room to the best of standards or they will be punished.

Q2. Adeline showed to have an amazing memory for her age and just in general. She was able to recall her phone number even though she only saw it once, a few days before. She had been using the number for a game and messed up the order many times to try to win, and yet she still remembered the original order and could recall it with no struggle. To do this at her age is an amazing feat and should be praised upon.

Adeline 's father does not think very much of his fatherly responsibilities. He does not show any interest in his daughter and cares very little for her. This is how when he forgets about her multiple times in one day. Adeline had to take a ride with the Chef to get to school and she almost got lost when she was left abandoned at the school. Thanks to the kindness of strangers she was able to get home
