When Hitler and his party took over in Germany, many monstrous events happened. The party and Hitler took power over everything and had many supporters following what they did. They were also the creators of the concentration camps. The concentration camps consisted of slave-labor camps, extermination camps, and many more. What would have happened if Hitler never became so powerful? Why didn 't anyone try to stop the Nazis? Although people have heard of Auschwitz, they don’t know the depth of what went on in the camps or how the Nazis were able to achieve such horrible power. Hitler came to the scene in Germany in 1919. Where he took over the German workers party. He used the hate the Germans had about the Treaty of Versailles to gain favor. He renamed the party the “National Socialist German Worker Party” and began steadily growing in power (“Nazi Party”). The growth of the Nazi party was helped by the “Great Depression in Germany.” Many people lost their jobs, so they turned to the party, which gave them more followers. This directly related to more votes from “1928 to 1932, votes increased from 800,000 to 14,000,000” (“Nazi Party”). Because of this, the Nazi party held the largest percentage of the total vote. In the early 1930’s Hitler made several smart political moves that eventually set him up for success.
