MEDICARE is one of the best healthcare systems, which is found in Australia. (Australian gov., 2019). It is a public system that offers medical services to Australian citizens and permanent residents. (Health Direct,2022). In contrast, American Medicare and Medicaid, a government health insurance program, covers both those younger with disabilities, people who are 65 years and older and people with End-stage renal disease (Medicare, n.d.). The Commonwealth government is responsible for the management of Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) items, and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). (Tikkanen et al., 2020). Medicare is funded by government-supported public funds through the Medicare levy and the Medicare levy surcharge. (Australian gov., 2022).
