During the 1920’s, baseball was a broad barometer for all things American. Baseball established an early relationship within society. The formation of this sport establish a connection to tranquility and family time that was a perfect reflection of society. Baseball wasn’t immune from all the societal ills that plagued our country from discrimination, segregation to war related patriotism to everything sports related. Who better to cast a light on the 1920’s but the biggest star of them all but Babe Ruth? Born George Herman Ruth, Jr., he was or is the sport’s greatest star born during an era where celebrity status created a legacy that continues to shine to this day.
