The main topic is based on the baby carriers which will reflect the use of the baby carriers, the history and the importance of the baby carriers, articles and books are used for the research focusing on the baby carriers and ergonomics and safety. Firstly, looking at the history of the Baby Carrier. The literature review is based on “A Baby Wants to be Carried” by Evelin Kirkilionis, “Bone Health and Osteoporosis “– A Report of the Surgeon General and “Handbook of Human Factors and Ergonomics Methods” by Neville Stanton, Alan Hedge, Karel Brookhuis, Eduardo Salas, Hal Hendrick. The baby carriers have been design from around a thousand years ago, which at that time the baby carriers / slings were designed and created just from pieces of cloths which will be placed around the body of the parent. Looking at the history we can’t forget the cultures, which there are different cultures and some of the cultures have their own style, which these reflect on the designs of the baby carriers. One books which is called “A Baby Wants to be Carried” by Evelin Kirkilionis have various of topics and chapters which are related to the topic. For the safety of the baby the baby carrier was developed into a more safety aspect which most of the baby carriers can be secured by having a buckle and straps, these are useful so that the baby will be in a secure carrier and the straps are there so that they will be ideal for the body of the parent and can be adjusted the size they want. Evelin also discuss the use of the baby carrier and why it is so comfortable, she says that when having a baby carrier, you can strike up and down the stairs and go for a long walk in the country side, also they are ideal for going shopping in a crowd place. Some mothers by carrying their children becomes a genuine survival strategy. This book also focuses on the aspect of being bounded to the child and the child to you. Evelin also says that the physical contact and closeness are important to the
