In Romare Bearden’s artwork At Connie’s Inn, the style of the piece is in the form of abstraction because it was a collage piece that would usually involve different types of materials pasted onto an artwork. In this collage, Bearden turned the nightclub scene into postmodern feel of unpredictable repetitions and juxtapositions of shapes and patterns in his art that created an unexpected rhythm. When I look at the collage’s composition, majority of the figures and items were unified as a whole by being clustered into different groups in order to make the scenery busier. The only people that were not smooshed into a group were the bassist, drummer, dancer, and the black figure in front of the piano which are located on the left side of the piece.

I will than explain my opinion on which painting I believed is more visually appealing and what I liked and disliked about each painting. While art varies in many ways, one can also easily identify many similarities between cultures. These similarities and differences have been seen and identified throughout history as art has continued to evolve. Architecture is no different, meaning although two grand structures were built on different sides of the world, similarities can be drawn between them. These similarities are consist of symbolism, architecture, and materials used in the structures. For example, the Hagia Sophia and Charlemagne’s Chapel both share similarities and differences through their histories and the architecture and decorations that make these structures so grand.
In the novel A Separate Peace, there are multiple themes running through the story. The theme that affected the plot of this story the most was coming of age. All throughout the story Gene is seen growing and maturing. He makes the transition from his childhood into his adult life. This is important because it shows how his attitude and actions are affected by growing up which in turn changes and molds the plot and overall resolve and resolution of the novel.
the paper has to be unified for it to be an effective piece of writing. Unifying a paper means that everything comes together in it. There are no lose ends. Langston Hughes does a good job with this in his paper. The paper is about one things and by the end of it everything comes full circle.
