Good afternoon Ma 'am. I just want to follow up with you recent visit to Battle Creek. I was not able to attend the back brief you provided on your last day and I was wondering if you could share any information of what is next. I can tell you that are office was pleased to have someone listen and take our concerns seriously. I know we had an odd staff meeting this past Thursday where Abraham spoke about your visit and wanted to ask us in an open forum to talk about the visit but was unwilling to share with us the back brief you provided to the staff. When he gave us instructions on how he wants us to perform the assessments, he told us to make a roster of the people we interview before the CA and give them a numeric number. Then place all of the assessment in a blue folder with a label and write the corresponding number on the label so that we can identify everybody that took the assessment. I voiced my concern to Abraham during a staff meeting that we are deceiving the people who we interview by telling them the interview is anonymous, but intentionally identify them without their knowledge. The entire complaint staff felt that it was wrong but he did not care. I told him that I would never do a climate assessment for the DLA if they are conducted in this manner. At the time, he had me as the lead to the Climate Assessment and requested that I not only train the entire staff but write the SOP. I felt the practice of deceiving the employees in the EEO office went against everything we stand for, so when I wrote the SOP, I intentionally put his guidance of numbering the employees in the SOP because I thought it would spark a much needed conversation but he had no problem with it and never questioned it.
