Lee faced the 93,700 men and 280 guns controled by the Union.Gettysburg was bloodie 3,150 wounded 14,500 missing on the North side and the confederates had 4,400 killed soldiers 12,950 wounded and 10,515 missing.Luckily only one civilian died Jennie Wade she was hit by a stray bullet while she was taking cover.The northern army severially got hurt when there general died from a rifle ball from the south.An estimate of 7 million bullets were fired and more dead troops.There were more casualties in Gettysburg than there were in the 8 year long reveloutionary war.By the time Gettysburg was done more than 3,000 horses had died an estimate of 6 pounds of human and animal carcuss lay on the ground.Gettysburg was a very deadly war to fight
