There were a plethora of war and battles in World War Two, but out of only the main ones was a last stand plan to split the Allied forces and get to their supplies, called the Battle of The Bulge. This topic was chosen because I am a big fan of video games and remembered that Medal of Honor had a mission during the Battle of The Bulge and I just thought that would be a good topic for my essay paper. During my research on the Battle of the Bulge I discovered that the Allies forces knew about a buildup of German forces and tanks, but didn’t care because they thought that the war was already over and that the Germans weren’t stupid enough to attack and waste their forces. Unfortunately for Hitler, his plans failed miserably and the Germans lost both World War One a few years before, and World War Two. Now the operation “Battle of the Bulge” was called Operation “Watch on the Rhine”. The assault started on December 16, 1944 and while the Germans got some land, it was stopped on December 26, 1944. He was the bravest man in that battle, and he led his platoon of tanks across a impossible amount of miles to make a counter attack that stopped the German advance. In a twist no one predicted, the Germans held out for one more year, so the war wasn’t over yet. For the next year Germany tried to go into War saving mode, which involved saving supplies and food, but it was to late. Germanys soldiers and citizens were both starving to death and freezing when winter came. So, day-by-day when the Allied forces were taking back miles of land some Germans actually held back the assault. Then the skies cleared of fog and our Air Force really started to cause some hurt. Meanwhile during the battle thousands of our people died, but hundreds of thousands of Germans died. For every 1 Allied soldier that died about 10 Germans died. It took the Allies about 6 months to reclaim the land that the Germans took, but when we finally did tons of Axis forces had died. It took the Allies some time because the Germans that were left were more experienced, but the Allies had more forces that overwhelmed the experienced soldiers. So day-by-day when the Germans where picking off one or two of our inexperienced soldiers, we were taking out about 5-6 of their experienced soldiers. Pretty soon the Germans were getting nervous and running out of soldiers to fight the Allies. So, the Germans started to draft everyone
