With many jobs now requiring higher educational degrees, it’s hard for many people to afford this expected requirement. With schools tuitions increasing every year imagine the cost when the next generation of students are off to college. Schools like Baylor often increase their tuition at least 1,000 dollars every year. Is this increasing expense worthwhile? A degree from Baylor University is worth the money. Because Baylor works on every part of you, it is easy to see why this private school’s degrees hold so much prestige and value. Baylor’s religious advantages, hard curriculum, and leadership skills force students to develop into leaders that strive to make a difference in the world. With the cost of private schools like Baylor, many parents and students turn to public universities because of their cheaper costs. It translates into “For God, For Texas”. In this example alone, it is easy to see how much Baylor cares about their student’s faith journeys by giving reference to God. Baylor wants their students to recognize that there is more than what is on this earth and it is important to show reverence, exercise prayer, and create a bond with God. Although Baylor takes religion very seriously, they do so without being forceful. If students do not want to partake in spiritual events they have the power to say no without being judged. On the other hand, for those who want to blossom in their spirituality it is readily available at their disposal. Baylor offers various religion courses and opportunities for students to strengthen their faith life. Among these are three required courses, Chapel, Christian Scriptures and Christian Heritage.
