Twenty-one was a film talking about a team which gambles by accounting cards in the casino. They create a unique language system to communicate in the casino, cooperating to win money. The main character, Ben, is an intelligent student who has gifts in Mathematics. His gifts are noticed by his mathematics professor, who is in charge of group which works on accounting cards in casino. The professor invites him to join in, but he refuses at first. However, he wants to apply to the medical school of Harvard medical school, but he has no money. In order to earn money for the tuition of Harvard Medical School, he participates in the team and is responsible for accounting cards.
However, accounting cards is not acceptable and welcome in the casino, because it will influence the profits of casino. If they find someone who accounts cards when gambling, they will catch and beat him. The team works efficiently at first, until Ben lost much money at the table because he breaks off the relationship with his best friend. Professor leaves the casino and then fires Ben out of the group, but the other students consider that they can still earn money. However, when they gamble again, they lose.
