Being realistic leads to getting things accomplished. When a person sets goals for their life they often try their best and do everything in their power to accomplish them. Idealistic people hope to one day change the world while realistic people make plans to actually make it happen. John F. Kennedy saw the poverty within the country and made plans to fix it. John came up with Medicare, a program helping men and women over 62 with health insurance. John took action to help those in need. Today we have Medicare and Medicaid which help the elderly and low-income families, reducing poverty in the United States. Instead of dreaming about helping his country John F.
