Bailey’s Tricks and Bella’s Wits
Bailey’s Story
Bailey is short and tiny like me. She’s a Beagle-Black Lab mix. She has the hyperness and height of a beagle and the color and loyalty of a Labrador. She is only about 35 pounds, about 1½ feet from the floor to her head, and three years old.She is all black except for her chest and the tips of her paws. We call her trouble, barkley, little dog, midnight, and other things. She’s a package of trouble, cuteness, smart, and love. This little thing plays and chases and sometimes runs faster than lightning. It was on the last day of our trip. It was like she knew that we were coming home that day. She tried to run back to our house because we were home by then. Our house is on the other side of town so she would’ve had to cross the freeway to get to our house. A car hit her and she bruised her liver badly. Thankfully, the lady in the car stopped when she hit her so Bella only went flying about 2 feet and only cut her lip. We hurried to our family friends house and the vet bill was only $500. We brought her home but she couldn’t run or wrestle with Bailey when she came over. We didn’t own Bailey at the time but we babysitted her in May two years ago. She eventually healed and she runs so much like she is making up for all the running she couldn’t do. There’s many more major memories that I have with her but if I listed all of them this would be counted late. But there’s one more that I do have time to
