Emerson defined a hero as a person who is ashamed of their body. A person who obeys a secret impulse of its character. Emerson stated so qualities of a hero such as, risking his/her life for people. A if a person is thinking of the peril he is going to face during a problem, then the person is demonstrating that his/her life is more important than the person they are going to save. But, if a person who show that they are a hero during the tragedy, and expect to be honor for what they are going to do, then, the person is not a hero. Beowulf, is a fictional figure, he is an example of Emerson heroism. The same bravery and physical strength that make Beowulf a great warrior also make him a great epic hero, as does his willingness to die for
