Modern Beowulf Writing Assignment 9/16/15 This is the story of Beowulf, giver of change, and his argument with Grendel, argumentative man. Beowulf is a rather kind-hearted cashier. He’s around 5 feet tall, with black hair and green eyes. He’s rather tall for a man of his physique, only weighing a hundred pounds. He works long hard hours at Wal-Mart with his coworkers. He’s s strong-willed man, and sticks to the rules. He’s the newly appointed customer service manager(CSM). He has to deal with disgruntled customers on a regular basis. Beowulf saw that Grendel was approaching again and he took over at the desk so he could deal with Grendel himself this time. Grendel approached this time, angrier than before. “I found the stupid shirt!” Grendel bared his teeth as he spoke. “Okay, I’ll help you over at this register.” Beowulf stated as he pointed toward an open register next to him. “This one is having some technical difficulties.” “Of course it is! You’re just trying to slow me down and take up more of my time!” Grendel sneered. “No sir, I assure you I would never do that.” Beowulf assured him. “Whatever. The employees that work here don’t know there head form a hole in the ground anyways.” Grendel scoffed. Beowulf started the transaction on his register, and as he did he watched Grendel carefully.
