During her imprisonment, Betsie had shown love to everyone she met. When Betsie told Corrie about the person who captured them in the first place, Corrie was very angry, while she only felt compassion for him. "I've felt for him ever since I knew-and pray for him whenever his name comes into my mind. How dreadfully he must be suffering!(pg.192 par.5)" Instead of thinking of the harm that has been done to her, Betsie thought of the suffering of others. In this case, I believe the suffering that she referred to the guilt on his conscience.
