Bath, N.Y. (WENY) -- Another thorough day of testimony in Michael Beard's murder trial. Monday morning, Brian Lang the owner of ServPro, the company Thomas Clayton worked for, took the stand. He testified to his business relationship with Clayton and GPS tracking in the ServPro vehicles. He said he grew up with Clayton in Binghamton and hired him in January of 2015.
Adnan Syed was convicted of the murder of Hae Min Lee. It started on Jan 13th when Hae goes missing after school, then on Feb 9th the body is found in Leakin Park by Mr. S. on Feb 28 the police arrest Adnan and Jay interveiws with the detectives about the murder, Jay Interviews with the detectives 3 more times with each story changing little by little. Adnans trial begins on Dec 8th, then the judge declares a mistrial 7 days later. Adnan is convicted with the murder of Hae Min Lee, the conviction is overturned, and finally his conviction is being tried again. The connnnviction of Adnan Syed should be overturned because the State’s case doesn’t provide enough strong evidence to convict Adnan of murder.

The New York Post article targets the victims and continues to idolize Cosby, while the Huffington Post source justifies the victims, and gives reasoning for why Cosby may be an alleged rapist. For instance, the liberal article argues, “ Yes there is a lack of evidence, however, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any evidence. Dozens of women can testify. (Huffington Post 1). This statement details, that despite a lack of evidence, there is no reason that the incident never occurred because plenty of women filed lawsuits against Cosby.
Carl-Lee Hailey is on trial for the murder of the two rapists who raped his daughter Tonya Hailey who was only 10 years of age. There is no doubt that Carl-Lee Hailey did shoot the two rapists and I believe that he should be convicted. His ten year old daughter Tonya was viciously brutalized by two white men Pete and Billy Ray. They abducted , raped and beat Tonya.
On June 12, 1994, Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman were found dead lying in a pool of blood. The two were stabbed to death at Nicole’s condo. Later, the bodies were found in the front court yard of Nicole’s condo. Nicole suffered from multiple stabs in the head and neck.
After Cosby was found guilty of drugging and assaulting Constand he lost respect from all the people that used to look up to him as a mentor, friend, even as a father, Cosby also lost his movie career, and his dream of being a successful comedian. To continue, Cosby knew what he was doing because he was the one that put the drugs into the drink and gave it to Constand (Egan). Cosby also kept using the drugs and gave it to other girls too like Chole Goins when she was 18 in 2008 (White). Lastly, Cosby’s suffering was the death of his career and the death to his relationship with his family members. Also with the exile of Cosby to prison for up to 10 years so that he wouldn't be a danger to society (Egen).
Trials have been around now for several thousand years and every time there is a defendant and a prosecutor. When a military official is on trial the case seems to be even direr. In this case, there is a military official on trial (Jack Nicholson) and a military prosecutor (Tom Cruise.) Jack Nicholson is on trial facing accusations he gave a “code red” –which means to kill- to have one of his lower officers killed. After an intense series of questions, Jack Nicholson finally admits to his crime, but not until he explains all the hardships he faces when doing his job.
George, I certainly agree with your statement in that, “We live in a day and age where the top stories are the ones that keep peoples attentions”. Too often the victims of sexual assaults in prisons go either unnoticed or are seen as having “deserved what they got” for what they did. This is outrageous. Individuals are sentenced to do their time, not to be victims themselves. I wonder if it ever occurred to people that sexual assaults can cause a world of trauma to an inmate.
12 Angry Men, begins with the scene of a courtroom where the decision of a murder trial was being taken. In the case, the son was accused of killing his father and that was what was asked by the Jury of the 12 men to deliberate upon. All of them had to come to one single decision and give the verdict, i.e. every member should be having the same opinion in the end.
