Birds Aren’t Real is a conspiracy theory that believes that birds are government placed robots used to spy on the people of the United States of America. The Birds Aren’t Real conspiracy theory is so prominent due to its absurd claims and social media exposure. 23-year-old Peter McIndoe, came up with this conspiracy theory that took off. The conspiracy theory claims that birds are actually CIA-implanted spy units. Allen Dulles was hired by the CIA in 1953, and his job was to install surveillance systems that were difficult to detect. Dulles wanted to hide these surveillance systems in an innovative way. This sparked the idea of killing 12 million birds just to replace them with bird-shaped robots.
