Existence of a God I am going to argue that Blackburn is wrong to claim that the existence of evil strongly suggests that there is no God who is all-good, all-knowing and all-powerful. Where there is evil good must also exist, though human beings tend to concentrate more on the evil than good.
Exposition
According to Blackburn existence of evil in the world suggests that God cannot exist who is all-knowing, all-powerful and all-good. Evils such as wars, diseases, poverty, crime, ignorance, alcoholism and drugs abuse in the world are in high prevalence in the world that we live. The …show more content…

Blackburn wishes that God would have performed the miracle of forever eliminating HIV-AIDS instead of performing the miracle of feeding the five thousand using some fish and loaves of bread. Diseases are all over making a lot of people unhappy as they cause death to both animals and human being. Alcoholism and drugs are also some of the evils in our society. Drugs and alcohol cause addiction that results in irresponsible behaviors and extreme cases cause death. Other evils such as crime, ignorance and poverty are also a cause of human suffering. According to Blackburn if God were good, powerful and with all knowledge then he would not have allowed existence of such evil, for human being to be happy He thus, concludes his argument in that we cannot have a perfect maker with imperfect creations. According to Black burn evils in the society makes God's creation unhappy and if God were good, he would have eliminated the evils for the creatures to be happy.
