In hospitals across the globe, over a millions lives begin each day. Often receiving warm, soft welcome to the world. How about a really soft welcome? Some hospitals, such as Beth Israel for example, do not have enough blankets for all the newborns. Blankets can be a gift for a baby who is premature, or who as a birth defect. According to Who.int, 15 million babies are born too early each year, along with a million dying due to complications. A gift, a blanket in this case, shows your care and hope to someone. So what I came up with is to hand/machine sew blankets made out of minky, which is the same material for stuffed animals and pillows. Colors that I´m planning to use is light blue and light pink minky, along with dark blue and pink
