Slavery has always lurked among us in the shadows, but now sources and causes are showing slavery what their true colors really are. The upcoming war, known as the Civil War, is going to be about slavery and how slavery should be abolished, but the South doesn’t want to abolish slavery and the North is very vocal about abolishing slavery. This is going to cause a conflict between the North and South America. In the past, slavery was always set aside and has been ignored for a long time, and now slavery is being exposed in the U.S. and is now a massive problem that is, and will finally be solved. Because of this rebellion, the south passed some new slave laws such as no education for slaves, and there were much stricter laws on the movement of slaves. The north had found out about these laws and viewed these laws as excessively oppressive, and made people turn further against the slaveholding south. This made the northern and southern states to turn more against each other and cause a rivalry to start brewing between these two unions. In conclusion, the three main causes of the Civil War were Bleeding Kasas, the Election of 1860, and Nat Turner’s Rebellion. Bleeding Kansas was when the North and South fought violently over slavery for the first time, and Nat Turner’s Rebellion made the two unions turn more against each other. During the Election of 1860, Lincoln became president due to democrats splitting and making the South secede America and create the Confederate States of America. Although it may have been bad that the South seceded, there are some good reasons why the South seceded was a good thing. A valid reason is that the South could have their own laws and now don’t have to worry about slavery being banned since they are now their own
