Jimmie Rodgers’ “Blue Yodel” and Blind Lemon Jefferson’s “Black Snake Moan” A pair of song that has mentioned above includes the two super hits from the first half of the 20th century. “Blue yodel” is series of thirteen different songs that were written and composed by the Jimmie Rodger in from 1927 to 1933. The first song of the blue yodel series was “T for Texas” that had gave rise to the music history with the vibrant vocal sounds as a part of almost every type of composition. While the second song is “black snake moan” was for the second time recorded by the Blind Lemon Jefferson in 1927 portraying a complaining attitude of singer in a short conversational way. Both songs that are included in the pair were played with the guitars as solo performances and were played right according to the singer’s attitude towards the lyrics. Jimmie had performed in the same voice dynamics throughout yet adding certain vocal sounds in it while in Black snake moan, singer first raised his voice to the louder pitch and then slightly goes down to the rest of the part. Yet the one thing which is common in both cases is the solo instrumental performances with guitars. Both of these solo instrumental performances had better justified with the lyrics as one can observe the melancholic essence of the guitar in “Black snake moan”.
