Blood Sweat & Tears and Chicago were both very influential for the success of jazz rock. Blood Sweat & Tears were the first to find success as they fused jazz harmonies into a pop-rock song that created a new audience for jazz rock style. In the other hand Chicago built on the popularity of Blood Sweat & Tears and continued the experimentation of sounds by integrating synthesizers and Latin fundamentals into the jazz rock fusion. Chicago did not have the instant success that Blood Sweat & Tears would see, however they were more experimental with their sound, as Chicago started getting noticed with each new album, which got them success and fame. In my experience I have never heard of Blood Sweat & Tears, but I have heard Chicago’s music as
