From the smallest voice to the largest protest people want to be heard. In the collage of objects of tetrad color, an expression is made through bold words and pictures to best illustrate the civil rights of some are being violated. Is it violating or the act of change? The world defines who its people are by their actions. The artist in this visual portrays a clear vision of people taking action for what they believe not what history has made. The collage of objects is laid out to draw the eye to four different ethical, emotional, and logical scenes. The center focal point of the visual is the constitution of the United States of America, where it is not clear and able to be read. The bold green of the Statue of Liberty is brightly glowing a neon green color, trying to be heard. Her eyes are protruding with vision of the protestors, bold black and white with a hint of fading purple. Is the artist trying to portray the mixture of wet red and blue running together to make a purple smear? If so, the artist could be saying the protestors are of both republican and democratic. Meaning the political stand is equally involved in their protesting. Her tears of sorrow flow running all over the visual in a purple haze, as she looks upon the stomped on pale yellow constitution. The tear of blue represents what her majesty is seeing is heartbreaking. This visual relates to the disgust of the people infringing on others rights afforded by the United States Constitution. The couples at the top of the constitution are of pastel colors. These pastel colors symbolize gay rights. The soft colors glowing are representing love and happiness. The constitution is of a pale yellow that is very blurry. The artist uses the original faded yellow appeal, as if it’s an original authentic constitution. Giving the viewer very little insight on what it is. The protestors are figures of black and white with bold signs that have a hint of red. They make a bold appearance in this piece. The artist uses no words in the pictures of the same sex couples, to give any persuasion to the viewer. The artist seems to draw little aggressive focus to this area overall. It is more of a flowing, easy view for the eye in this visual. Unlike the Statue of Liberty and the protestors whom express more boldly points in the visual. The Statue of Liberty shows many expressions without words, her lips symbol pouty and her eyes are saddened. Consequently there is no need for words. It’s very clear that she stands for liberty of the constitution, for the people, and she is apparently not agreeing with what is being done. Expression through the protestors signs below the constitution lead to believe the protestors beliefs are from God and what should be done by religion, not the constitution. Which the protestors believe to be a logical argument. The protestors use words in their discriminatory signs to show their own personal, ethical beliefs. The signs are meant to express that God has a different belief than the constitution. People should protest the opposite and stand firm to keep church from state. Also the signs signal that the protestors are against gay marriage and gay rights. However, these are freedoms of choice according to the constitution. As people take the streets as never before on their personal positions of life, so remains a division of equality. History can not be changed but the pursuit of
