Throughout this journal, one can see that Scout walked in Boo Radleys shoes and Jem walked in Scouts shoes to see a view from a new perspective. Initially, Scout shows numerous ways that she walked in Boo Radleys shoes. First off, When Boo was standing it the room where Jem was he was up against the wall. Scout said, “hey” to Boo Radley when she noticed him standing there (Lee 362). He might of felt nervous or scared because he was never seen before in front of people. Scout may of thought this would make him feel more welcomed around the kids and the other family and friends. Scout wanted to make Boo Feel comfortable and feel like he belonged there. In this quote, Scout says that standing on the Radley porch was enough for her to see what it is like from his view. Scout may feel glad she got to see what it is like for Boo Radley but might feel bad about it too. She might of realized that everyone has a different story to share. On the other hand, this book shows multiple ways Jem Walked in Scout shoes. The first reason is Jem helped scout with her costume. In the book it states, “So Jem squeezed me into my costume, stood at the door, called out “Po-ork,” exactly as Mrs. Merriweather would have done, and I marched in” (Lee 340). In this quote one may predict that Jem cares about his sister and wants her to feel good about being in the pageant even if she does not want to be in it. Secondly, Jem decided to walk Scout to school. Atticus thought that if Scout asked him he would do it. Scout asked him and he took her to the pageant. As a little sister it would feel good to have an older sibling that would be willing to walk you somewhere you had to go.
