September 1, 1933 Dear Diary, This is my last day to spend with Scout and Jem. Today I am moving back to Meridian, Mississippi to spend the school year with my mom. Today I’m gonna write about how awesome my summers been and how this has been the best summer ever! I finally have friends to play with, first of all. Scout and Jem are so fun and adventurous, just like me. Together we like to act out stories we have read and movies we have watched. My favorite is Dracula but other books and movies we acted out are Tarzan, The Rover Boys, and The Gray Ghost. But, I got really curious the second they told me about their neighbor Boo Radley. How he has never been seen in 15 years and how he eats raw squirrels and cats for dinner. Especially when I heard he tried to kill his brother Nathan Radley with a pair of scissors. I’m gonna recap my summer because it was filled with awesome experiences. The first new game we played was rolling Scout in a tire down the street. It seemed like a good idea till Scout rolled right up in front of the Radley’s porch. We all got so scared after that that we never played that game again. Instead we played with the Radley family, acting out their life every day until Atticus stopped us. Soon, I started hanging out with Jem and we came up with this great idea on how to get Boo Radley to come out of his house. We were gonna give Boo a note through his window using a fishing pole inviting him out for ice cream. We thought it would work until Atticus caught us and told us to stop tormenting Boo. Just yesterday, my last day in Maycomb, we decided to sneak over to the Radley’s to try and catch a peek at Boo Radley, just one small peek.
