Though there has been many survivors of the Holocaust and the Rwanda Genocide, They are shallow numbers compared to the death tolls. One survivor of the Holocaust is Elie Weisel. Some time after the Holocaust, he wrote a book(Night) about his time there. One survivor of the Rwanda Genocide is Valentina. She has shared her stories of survival with others, to show that you can survive any challenge if you keep fighting the odds.

He arrived in a terrible state, he had severe injuries to his head, and part of his brain was exposed where his skull had fractured. He died 3 days later, a slow, painful death. When he died, her mother buried him by herself, A few days later the militiamen discovered their hiding place. They did not kill her, but they raped her. She was only five years old at the time.

Wiesel didnt go through quite as much as Valentina. Elie Wiesel did get seperated from his mom and sister, but Valentina witnessed so much more death amung loved ones. She has gone through physical pain, and even more so, emotional pain,
Yet she didnt stop fighting those who she opposed. All Elie Weiesl did, was get his family seperated and and see his dad getting beaten.
Although they both lost loved ones, Valentina has lost more than Elie Weisel. I mean, sure he got beat with a whip.
On the other "hand" Valentina got her hand chopped in half. Speaking of the actual genocides, the Holocaust did take out more people(6 million), but Rwanda took out a twelth of that in a much shorter time period. All people can hope for is
