But it does not really sum up the enjoyable book by Esther Forbes. Without all the details and struggle between each chapter of the novel, the movie is not as
The Outsiders has many differences between the book and the movie.
Who would ever thought that Sam Gribley age 12 would have ever runaway? The There are similarities and differences from My Side of the Mountain book and movie. PS I personally think that the book is better than movie . There many similarities and from the book and movie My Side of the Mountain .
You want my opinion about the movie? Well here it is the book well the book is nice, but the movie well I can talk about the movie. The movie is really good and the scenery is beautiful and the acting is great my favorite part is when Jesse and Winnie swim together. In conclusion the book is good to read and the movie is good to watch
In the end I found the film to be easier to understand vs the book as it was an easier and more straight forward plot line whereas in the book it seemed to jump around leading to constant flipping between stories and pages to get a better
Books and movies have been around for many years and lately movie directors have been making more and more movies based off of books. Most people do not know that around 50% of movies are based off of books. Although, it really depends on what people mean when a movie is “based” off a book. Some directors say a movie is based off a book, but has a different plot and seems totally different. So, in order to keep true to the book, directors keep the plot relatively the same, but there are a few times they decide to change the message entirely by changing just a few key events.
The book has more eventful scenes, some scenes more valuable than others. I feel like students will find more things to connect to in real life situations from reading the book than viewing the movie. “There are a million ways for the movie to go wrong” (The Atlantic). That 's why i believe movie makers should really pay attention to details in the book and incorporate it into the movie to make it more successful. I absolutely love the book.
There was also a part of the book where the people in the resistance group were trying to escape the country, to get away from the tattoo. I think that this would make a really cool movie. I has it all; drama, romance, action, surprises, betrayal intriguing characters and plot lines, and it could
By high school or middle school age, most teens have been exposed to the content being labeled as inappropriate in The Outsiders through other forms of media. Nowadays, music, TV and movies all can contain material more impolite than what we see in The Outsiders. The author of “Banned Books Awareness: The Outsiders”
How well can a director put a book into action as a movie? After reading the book The Color Purple by Alice Walker and watching the movie The Color Purple directed by Steven Spielberg, I was given both sides of the story written and the screen write. Contrasting the two together personally is quite tricky because both the book and the movie were great to take part in. However some events in the book were obviously different when watching the movie.
If I didn 't have the book I still think that I would be able to follow along with the movie and know what is going on. I really did like the story. It was different than any other books. It was funny and adventures but at times it was very mature. The lesson that anyone can learn is don 't change something you believe in because other people say it is not true.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, set in the 1830’s-1840’s, where slavery is still legal. During this time there was an extreme contrast between rich and poor and the growing disputes of the North and South states of America. The abolition movement was a leading reform in the country where the idea of slavery is an evil practice. Many African American slaves had begun to run away from the cruelty of slaveholders as does the character, Jim, a runaway slave. This novel is based on a “mighty river and a mightier friendship” between Huckleberry Finn and Jim as they seek freedom from their past.
A book and a movie can be both the same and different. In The Outsiders there are many similarities and differences with the book and movie. They were the same because Johnny kills a man, they cut their, there was the movie scene, and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the church. Some of the differences is when Darry slaps Ponyboy but in the movie he pushes him, Johnny doesn't bring a lot of food in the book but does in the movie he does, when Johnny killed the man it was more described but it wasn't in the movie, and Johnny says he wants to kill himself in the movie. In The Outsiders one of the themes is “friendship”
So a lot of small details from the book have to be cut. Also the movie has to rearrange the events in the book in a way that it is interesting for the spectator to watch. Sometimes books jump in time and use different literary methods that have to be changed when adapted to movies because they can slow or interrupt the rhythm of the movie.
The movie only focuses on the story of the Andrea Gail and the men from Gloucester. I think the overall story is better off this way. For example, I think if the book was written like this, the reader would become more connected to the characters and the book. The reader would go through the same emotions and feelings as the characters because they experienced the same event simultaneously. All in all, I think the book has a great story, but lacks a proper structure for the story at hand.
