Imagine this, you're just a kid practicing something you love, and that something you love will turn you into something big. In the book Beckham Both Feet On The Ground by David Beckham, that's what happens to David Beckham. All he wanted to do was be a soccer player, he would practice every day till he got to play pros and help coach other teams. All Throughout David's life he had great thing coming for him but he also had some scares. David reminds me of Scout from the book To Kill A Mockingbird. I think David Beckham is a lot like Scout in many ways and here's why.
David Beckham and scout are alike because they both had someone to look up to and copy. “We’d practice together before and after and then, while his match was taking place on the big field, I’d find some boys to play with on the other field.” David looked up to his dad, because David's dad played on a team and David would tag along at his practice and play with the older men. Whenever David's dad had a game he would be there to support his dad. He would also play on the side field, and be just like his dad. Scout and David are the same here because scout looked up to Jem. She would do whatever Jem did, and try to be with his friends all the time.

They both start out shy and ended up being big. David Beckham was really shy at the begging and only talked to his dad, family, and people he played soccer with. “ He wasn't much of a soccer player so when I couldn't talk him into a kick out over at the park.” This showed that he didn't talk to that much people and was shy about it, but as he got better he would to more and more people. Now that he is famous he has to talk to alot of people. David is like scout because scout didn't really talk to alot of people at the beginning and she had lots of enemies at school. The only people she would talk to is her brother Jem, his friend Dill, and Atticus. By the end of the book Scout is talking and giving sass all the
