By Katie Steinauer Adolf Hitler was born in 1889 in a small Austrian town. He grew up a catholic, and had Jewish grandparents. At first, Adolf wanted to be an artist. But after he failed the entrance exam to Vienna Academy of the Arts and moved to Vienna, where he, none the less, continued to do artwork for his living. When WWI broke out, Adolf applied to serve in the German army.
After WWI Hitler continued to work in the military, and joined DAP, which was a pan-German and anti-Semitic German Workers' Party. This was a party that, in a simpler version, basically hated the Jewish people. After the Paul von Hindenburg, Hitler’s party ran for presidency, and it won. He directed the Holocaust, which resulted in the death of over 11 million people, not only Jews, but Polish people, polish Jews, and polish Christians. This then led to WWII, when he invaded Poland. Hitler had forces invade France, Scandinavia, Luxembourg, as well as the United Kingdom.
Soon after Adolf realized Germany was losing, he and his wife, Eva Braun, committed suicide, April 3, 1945.
As leader, Adolf faced many difficult challenges over the years. Over the years, many people wanted him dead, and have attempted at it. He also had to control a whole country, which was not an easy task, especially during war. Adolf had to make tough decisions that would input the entire outcome of the war, like forming allies with Japan and France. Probably the hardest of all… Taking his own life.
Very little of Hitler’s contributions to the world are good. One thing he showed us what hatred towards humankind can do. Other contributions he made were he reduced the size of their military, and he released hold on the German colonies. He increased the number of scientific advances. AS we know, Hitler did not like the Jewish people. He believed this because he was Anti-Semitic, and that the Jews where the reason Germany had issues. Nowadays people have no idea how he came to be like that, he had Jewish grandparents, and Adolf, himself, grew up a catholic.
Adolf Hitler had left huge impacts on the rest of the world. He was known worldwide, and not for a good reason. He left many children without parents, or family members to run to. He left many people grieving over the loss of their loved ones. He was the reason many people immigrated to various different countries, to escape and to find religious freedom. People lost their homes, their jobs, anything that meant anything to them. He also affected the people that were non-Jewish. Thousands of people were required to serve in his military, leaving their families and often times, falling on the battlefield.
Even the people not in Germany were affected by him, after the outbreak of WWII, many people were sent off to fight from all over, especially America. People got bombed, and lost everything. Hitler’s decisions led to many and various different things, the world would be a very different place if he had not
