Brown v. Board of Education took place in 1954. It was a very important part of the history of public education. The basis of Brown v. Board of Education was about how racism and segregation in the public schools played a negative impact on African-American student’s education. The outcome of the ruling was that it was unlawful to separate black and white students within the public school system. The outcome was a great way to desegregate the way that the school was separated by race. The promise of Brown v. Board of Education laid the foundation for an equitable and inclusive education system for all students. It has taken race out of the problem and replaced it with equal access to learning.
