Brutus: Conspirator Or Traitor?

He could be argued to both sides. On one hand, he killed Caesar for noble reasons; that being saving the Roman Republic and preventing him from possibly becoming a king of sorts. However, Brutus does have a bit that paints him more as a traitor. First, let’s consider that he may not be telling the truth. Sure, he can claim he’s doing to save Rome. But how much of that can we really believe? He was easily manipulated into helping the conspirators. So why should we take his word for it? Added to the fact that he immediately tried to take power after Caesar’s death. He didn’t even try to talk anything through; just, tried to claim power. So if I had to choose, I’d say he is a traitor. His actions set off a lot of red flags for me; added that he
