The Different Ways of Life & How They Are Shown Today There were many things that impacted the human way of life around the world in the 5th century. In India, however, Buddhism and Confucius was one of the biggest impacts they had on their society and culture for many different people. Both Buddhism and Confucius are wonderful ways of life but they are different and similar in some ways. Many think that Buddhism is a religion, but they are mistaken it is not something to live by but just a way to think. Buddha never wanted it to be thought of as a religion, just a way of life to follow. Buddha did not believe in the caste system, in fact if you followed his way of life you were not a part of it, that's why many of the lower class, or the “untouchables” (The people at the very bottom of the caste system) followed this different life style. There were parts of this way of life you had to follow to be a part of Buddhism, some small things other things more difficult. The four noble truths for example, this is the truth to suffering in all ways of suffering, the truth of the cause of suffering, the truth of the end of suffering, and the truth to the path of the end of suffering. The four Noble truths was a large part of Buddha’s belief, it is what kept peace and inner grace and happiness. Another thing that was very important to this way of life is the eightfold path.
