Water is used to support human life in a variety of ways to include; drinking, bathing, growing produce and supporting a healthy ecosystem. As the world population continues to increase, if the current rate of usage is maintained, then more water is being used than can be replenished through rain water or the melting of snow and ice (Sayles 2017).
