There is one big reason rocks are not found on the sea floor that could be attributed to the dynamics of nature. One of them is because the sea floor is constantly changing thanks to seafloor spreading. So, the seafloor now is not the same as it was years ago. Seafloor spreading happens because of the earth’s plates constantly moving meaning the rocks on the seafloor will soon be shifted inward toward the mantel or shifted to another side. 2.

In chapter five, Pink discusses the trait of “buoyancy,” or what he defines as the ability to stay afloat when waves of rejection and adversity strike. According to Pink, buoyancy is composed of three different components: interrogative self-talk, positivity ratios, and explanatory self-talk. In the first component, Pink suggests that instead of only using positive self-talk whenever we are planning to move someone, we use interrogative self-talk. This is because asking ourselves questions, such as “Can I do this?” will elicit reasons for doing something, create room for improvement, and produce better results.
The Edmund Fitzgerald is a big mystery like the Titanic and just like the Titanic it has lots of theories on how it sank but to pacific there was 4 theories on how it sank on November 10, 1975 on lake Superior. People still don’t know what happened to the Edmund Fitzgerald till this day or what happened to her crew 29 men because no one lived to tell the tale of the Edmund Fitzgerald. There are many theories on how it sank to be exact there was 4 theories anyway. I choose the 4th theory. I believe in this theory because in the text titled the “Theory : 4Three Sisters” it talks about how the Edmund Fitzgerald could have sank by the Three Sisters the Three Sisters is a Lake Superior phenomenon that has two huge waves and later a monster wave as the
When atoms are cold they sink because they are more compacted and don’t move around as much. Sink or Float was a lab that showed about temperature and density changes. With the cold water we saw it sink and just stay at the bottom of the container without moving. When the hot water was added it made it rise to the top of the container and spread. That showed us that the bottom layers would be hotter and the top layers would be colder.
It’s harder to get a freight train to accelerate than it is to get a mosquito to accelerate. We always call m the mass, not the weight. Newton’s Third Law: Law of Action-Reaction: If there exists a force on body A due to body B: F~ AB then the body A must also exert a force F~ BA on body B so that these two forces have the same magnitude: FAB =
Hana Phan Mrs Thomas Honors Chemistry P. 2 9-20-17 Chapter 2 Booknotes 2.1 What is matter? matter - anything that has mass or volume volume - the amount of space an object occupies mass - a measure of how difficult it is to change the object’s state of motion atoms - the basic unit of matter molecules - a neutral group of atoms held together by chemical bonds physical properties - properties that can be observed or measured without changing the composition of matter state - the condition of being a gas, liquid, solid, plasma, or neutron star chemical properties - properties that can be observed only when substances interact with one another Matter is anything that has mass or volume. Sinking to the bottom of the ocean can signify that, that person is giving up and that they are not willing to fight anymore. Jeannette Walls was raised by parents that believed that their children should learn from their own mistakes. The Walls children were put in danger by their parents various times, just so they could understand that they should not depend on anybody but themselves; the Walls children were taught that living life holding on to the edge could prevent them to take risky chances and lose the chance of having success. In the book “The Glass Castle” written by Jeannette Walls, Rex Walls describes to Jeannette that “If you don’t want to sink, you better figure out how to swim. ”(Walls 66).
Acoording to http://www.digitaljournal.com/tech-and-science/science/hms-terror-discovery-may-rewrite-history-of-franklin-expedition/article/474741 The HMS Terror was sitting at a 45-degree angle to starboard. a third dive with the remotely-controlled vehicle (ROV) showed the vessel to be sitting level on the seabed, "which means the boat sank gently to the bottom,” said Adrian Schimnowski, the foundation’s operations director, according to the Guardian. With the bost sitting 45-degree starboard and level on the seabed than we know the boat sank gently . If the boat sank smoothly to the bottom of the ocean than we know that the cause wasn't a harsh storm or an iceberg.
These factors include the size and shape of the object. For example, the shape and size of paper of a rock differs from that of paper. But paper, because of it shape and size, would float down slower with more air resistance than the rock which has less air resistance. For example, in a well known article on the fall of an object, states, “More massive objects will only fall faster if there is an appreciable amount of air resistance present” (The Big Misconception 1). This shows the fall of an object does not care about mass but size and shape.
Over the following days, the levels of water pushing on
Weight The weight of a pickleball paddle is an essential factor to consider. It is recommended that beginners use a lighter paddle because it is easier to handle, while more experienced players may prefer a heavier paddle because it provides more power. The weight of a pickleball paddle can range from 6 ounces to 14 ounces. 2.
“Our best politicians and diplomats couldn’t do better than a teen girl does in understanding the social intrigue and political landscape that lead to power. ”(Wiseman)(346) This statement made by Roaslind Wiseman, in her article “The Queen Bee and Her Court,” is full of the honest truth. Wiseman gives several roles a teenage girl and her friends encounter everyday throughout high school. Although each role is broken down in detail to describe the actions of that specific role, the motive behind the role is always unclear.
Titanic was deemed unsinkable because it had 15 watertight bulkheads and a double bottom. The problem with this though was that “the watertight compartment design contained a flaw that was a critical factor in Titanic’s sinking: While the individual bulkheads were indeed watertight, the walls separating the bulkheads extended only a few feet above the waterline, so water could pour from one compartment into another, especially if the ship began to list or pitch forward.” Many people say that the ship was doomed from the start. On April 10th 1912, The Titanic set sail for Cherbourg, France and then to Queenstown, Ireland.
Introduction Solubility is a chemical property that is measured in terms of the maximum amount of solute dissolved in a solvent at equilibrium. The resulting solution is called saturated solution. For example when a sample of sodium chloride solution in water is heated the behavior of the reaction is endothermic obstructing exothermic behavior. Another relationship that can be said about solubility is that the solubility of a solid substance increases as the temperature increases. The solubility of solutes is dependent on temperature.
