Business people had to utilize and adapt to the ever changing growth of the United States and had to be able to utilize new technological innovations in order to prosper during the late nineteenth century. The late nineteenth century was a time in which business men had to adapt to the rapidly evolving economy that was brought on by the railroads that covered a vast part of the United States. Those that were not able to adapt to the emerging industries were to either go out of business or be inundated by business that realized the key role that industrialization was having on America.
