INTRODUCTION

MEANING OF ETHICS
Ethics reflect beliefs about what is right, what is wrong, what is just, what is unjust, what is good, what is bad in terms of human behaviour. Ethical principles serve as a guide to behaviour on a personal level, within professions, and at the organisational level. It is based on written or unwritten codes of principles and values held in society.
BUSINESS ETHICS also called as corporate ethics is a form of ethics or professional ethics that examines the ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment. It applies to all the aspects of business conduct and it is relevant to the conduct of individuals and the entire organisations.

Code of ethics is a broad area which covers all the aspects of being ethical and other rules and regulations, the entire code of ethics is given under 7 broad areas covering all the aspects. The prominent aspects include:
1. HUMAN RIGHTS: The fashion industry has many connections and contacts with different contractors for and employees in various countries across the globe. The search for image, money, market share etc makes them exploit the people associated with the industry. Especially with the workers, models, associated through advertising any stakeholder for that matter have to be treated with respect and dignity. Respecting human rights is the core aspect in making a viable and sustainable business. To mention few, rights like freedom of expression, equality before law, right to participate in culture, right to food, right to work etc. it also includes avoiding complicity in human rights abuse. ETHICAL ISSUES IN FASHION
Though there is code of ethics, regulatory bodies and concerned authority to regulate fashion business but still there are many ethics which they go against and create ethical issues for simple reason to make more profits, create image and market share etc. most commonly raised ethical issues are as follows:
 BODY IMAGE: Since body and looks are considered very important in fashion industry issue arise due to requirements like extremely thin and perfect body, extreme diets creating health issues to models. Example:- going for harmful surgeries, zero size body image.
 ANIMAL CRUELTY: this is the major ethical issue that activists point out because animals are ill-treated, trapped and killed for manufacturing fur made coats, leather boots etc there are cases where animals are raised mainly for this reason.
 CULTURAL DIFFERENCES: Fashion includes lot of new inventions, new designs from different cultures, regions etc. these are encouraged by one group and highly discouraged by another group of society they also go against the designers and models for
