I would have to say the most successful text I wrote was my popular essay. In it, I talk about the artistic potential of pro wrestling. And I adopted a personal stance as I talk about how it affected me. So I 'm examining the wrestler CM Punk in retrospect. Then, I 'm sharing my interpretation with the reader. Thus, the essay engages curiosity by offering something most readers wouldn 't otherwise encounter. And as for the language, I incorporated commentary and creativity. Besides, the text documents the events that turned CM Punk into a superstar. So it shifts between a narrative and my interpretation as a 14-year-old. Another part of the essay that works well was the introduction. I introduce the reader to me as a person along with an author. Then, I go into the topic of pro wrestling, how I became a fan of it, and what I admire about it. And while I 'm at it, I address some common sentiments the reader would have as a non-wrestling fan. Thus, the essay is a blend of sharing my thoughts and engaging the reader with the subject. Furthermore, from a creative perspective, I employed elements of fiction writing. The essay works as a solid entry point for anyone unfamiliar with pro wrestling. And by focusing on one character, CM Punk, I 'm not overwhelming the reader. Yes, I want the reader to appreciate wrestling as a whole. But at the same time, I don 't want to appear as though I 'm justifying my weird fandom. Again, that effect makes the balance of the essay 's content and perspective crucial. As the author, I 'm like CM Punk in that I must grab the reader 's attention. They know what 's happening and why, at the very least, it should interest them. I 'm not persuading them for why they should become a fan. In fact, I make that point clear in the essay 's last paragraph. Instead, I 'm guiding them into someplace unfamiliar while pointing out the different nuances. So for those reasons, this essay is my best piece of writing
