California Bioregions

Biodiversity is the variety of life in the world. Biodiversity is important everywhere because it is a resource in which all living organisms and future generation organisms depend on. It is important to California because California has many different bioregions. If California did not have biodiversity in its bioregions, one animal would have to adapt to all the different regions. By adapting, it would have to live off the land and eat its own species. Since California has such a high level of biodiversity, the example above is unlikely.
In all of California, there are ten bioregions. Each bioregion has its own variety of wildlife, or biodiversity. Some problems affecting California bioregions are human population growth and human activity. …show more content…

If people start to clean up after themselves when participating in their recreational activities, the environment will stay healthy. As well as the biodiversity of wildlife. Biodiversity is helpful to the environment here just as it is around the world. Without biodiversity, there would only be one animal in the environment, causing the animal to live of the land and its own species. The animal would most likely, if an omnivore, would only eat a few plants and not all. Just what it prefers. Also, the only competition is between its species only, and there can be problems to this. There are two Indian Tribes in the area, the Northern Paitute and the Paiute-Shoshone. They live on the the two counties, the Modoc and Lassen, and their economy depends on logging and ranching. The east side of the region is dryer than the western region, and has high-desert ecosystems. On the other hand, the west side of the region features land made from volcanoes. With our plan, all the areas can become conscious of humans, and the environment can stay clean. If the environment is and stays clean in the natural systems, the biodiversity of wildlife will be living in a healthier environment and succeed. If it becomes too polluted the biodiversity of the wildlife would likely decrease. It will not just affect one or two species, but all species of wildlife. The environment does a great job supplying ecosystem goods and services. An ecosystem good is the natural habitat the Modoc bioregion gives to the animals. An ecosystem service can be the animals around the bioregion. They do a numerous amount of jobs around the environment. In fact, they are
