Originally part of New Mexico, the land was ceded to the United States in 1848 and became a separate territory in 1863. During this time settlers began to migrate westward by the thousands in search of land and opportunity. In Arizona pioneers began to settle and explore the new territory making it their new home. Pioneers traveling west came from many places in the United States, they were farmers, carpenters, blacksmiths and missionaries.

In the foothills of the Putney Mountains located southwest of Charleston, West Virginia, is a little city, called Howardsville with a dark history. Ernest Cassidy, an elderly man lived in the two-story-house near the foothills was familiar with the myths, legends and lies, involving the city. The townspeople suspected him of being involved, but no one knew to what extent. The mysteries of Putney Mountain began years earlier when several strange and scary events happened and upset the residents of Howardsville leading to the legends, mysteries, and lies, which are still around to this day. For several years, Mr. Cassidy went outside the home only to collect cans and bottles using an old grocery cart.

When Jeannette and her family resettles in Battle Mountain, their house was filled with different animals such as dogs, cats, nonpoisonous snakes, lizards and etc. Her each member of the family loved animals and that’s why wherever they moved, they always have animals with them. This is a bad thing because the Burmese pythons wiping out many species of animals, ten of thousands of these snakes called Burmese Pythons are living in the Everglades, and People are setting up to hunt these snakes with a grand prize of 1,000 dollars. With the snake’s owner not knowing what they were getting into when the snakes got too big they released the snakes to the wild.
