Call of the wild was one of the best books I ever read. It really changed my mind about the story. I did not like that John Thornton died; I think that that should be changed in the story and movie. Also I think the book should have gone on longer than I did. I also did not like when the first owners of the sled dogs would beat the poor things. I think this because the dogs were getting treated bad and were nearly starving themselves to death. Also when the owner was being very temendating to the dogs, like curly. What I did like about call of the wild was when john was building the cabin and heard a bark and spotted that sound from Dawson city. When he went outside he found a guy beating buck so john cut bucks string and threatened the guy and ended up scaring him off. I also liked that john was able to accomplish his dream and take buck back where he knew he belonged. And that was at the lost gold mined in the Klondike gold rush pass away. …show more content…

Around the ending it was at the lost mind, because that’s where the lost gold was that john wanted to get which that wasn’t really why he was there. John knew that this was buck's home with the wolves. One conflict of this story is the Yukon Indians because they do not want anybody in there woods and when the see you they happen to kill you and see if you took any of their gold. And that’s what happens to john but Charlie got away thanks to buck. Buck could smell trouble on the plants and he tracked to footprints to the edge of the river where there happens to be the Indians. Buck jumped and attacked and killed every one of them but
