“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” My curiosity to comprehend the behavior and functioning of objects at an early age helped me understand the intent behind their form and structure. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity of virtually designing the subsystems for an entire single seated car as well as fabricating its parts in a workshop. The outcome of it made me realize my proclivity for creating something out of my imagination and bringing it to life. Right then, I had decided that if there was a career that could blend one's engineering expertise with design aptitude that would be the career I would opt for. But over time, …show more content…

We had a customized wheel assembly to reduce the inertia due to rotational mass, to reduce corner mass and to achieve dynamic stability. The car had outboard springs in the front and pushrod actuated inboard springs in the rear. To have a good stability during roll, the static roll center for front and rear are positioned below the CG’s of the A and C cabins. The parameters considered for the design of the chassis were suspension pick-up points, driver’s seating position, position of the pedals, steering gear box and the material selection. To summarize it, we built a rather light and dynamically stable car to give stiff competition to all the participating teams. Our team went on to win the Overall National Championship of SUPRASAE 2011-12, along with three other individual prizes in the skid pad, autocross and endurance events. It was a moment of immense pride and I feel elated even now when I think about …show more content…

As a part of my final year project titled ‘Biometric Advanced Driver Assistance and Safety System’, I designed a quarter car model with an active driver assistance system which took inputs from the pulse rate sensor, breath analyzer while constantly monitoring the perspiration levels. These values would be compared against set points customized for individual drivers, and any deviations from the normal would actuate the brake support system and the ultrasonic sensors present on top of the car would ensure that the minimum distance from the car in front of it was maintained. In my 3rd year, I presented a paper on ‘Anti-Lag Turbochargers’ in which I had designed indigenous way to reduce the lag in turbochargers using dc motors.

I have been a meritorious student throughout college, having secured scholarships for three consecutive years for being in the top 5 % of my branch of studies. However, I did not restrict myself to academics; be it design contests in college, dramatics or anchoring for events at my company, I dived into multiple avenues to explore and improve upon my
