Does The U.S. Have Equality?
Can the U.S. achieve equality? It is possible for the U.S to achieve equality. The U.S. can achieve equality by using the Amendments. Equality can be achieved in the U.S. by using Amendments II, III, IV, and VIII. Some people believe that these Amendments do allow for equality in the U.S and some people believe that they do not. Based on the Constitution, it is possible for individuals in society to achieve equality because the II, III, IV , and VIII Amendments show how the United States has equality.
These Amendments allow for equality in the U.S. by giving citizens the following rights. Amendment II states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” This means they can have a gun to …show more content…

Other people may believe that Amendment II does not allow for equality because it states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” However, they would be wrong because kids under the age of eighteen or the people who have committed a crime should not have a gun. For example, this amendment gives rights to the people who have a clean record and are over the age of eighteen. In addition, they also may think that the VIII Amendment does not allow for equality because it states, Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.” However, they would again be wrong because no one should be punished in a cruel way, be excessively fined or should have excessive bails for no apparent reason. For example, this amendment gives rights to the people who have committed a crime and the people who want bail. Some people believe that Amendments VIII and IV do not allow for equality but they are
