How can we agree with someone else’s take on a concept or idea that we are just learning about ourselves? We truly cannot agree with someone on a concept or idea that we are learning because we truly do not have a clear, concise understanding of the concept in which we are learning. What people should truly do if they do not have the clear and concise understanding of the topic they need to go and read about the topic or concept at hand before they can respond. When someone is stating that they agree with someone on a topic they are discussing its because they are not familiar with the topic or concept in which you are discussing, they often will just agree with you instead of saying to you that they really to do not know much about the topic. …show more content…
I suppose people cannot tell someone that they agree on a concept they are learning themselves because we truly do not have a true grasp on the topic. However, we can consider their idea to be compelling or interesting, but we truly cannot agree on their point of view unless we have a clear concise understanding of the topic in which they are discussing. I feel that when someone says, “I agree with you”, they need to also explain why they agree with, back it up with facts. IF they say they, “I disagree with you”, then they should also explain why they disagree with you. They should back any of their reason up with facts. I believe that people love to say that they agree with you because too many people are afraid to hurt people’s feelings. Before you agree or disagree with someone you should honestly, listen or read what you are saying. IF I am having a serious discussion with someone I need to be knowledgeable about the topic in which we are discussing. I will always listen to what the other person has to say, I will learn from their point of view. I may not always agree with the person, but I will always learn something from that person. It is always a good idea to see things from all angles. You do not have to agree with the person, but you can at least learn from that person.
