Capital Punishment also is known as the death penalty has been around since Fifth Century B.C1. Executions would be performed publicly by different means. There were many reasons for a person to be sentenced to the death penalty, However, as time went on the crimes that caused someone to be sentenced shortened. Executions began to be done privately instead of publicity as well as less cruel for the sake of the public when done publicly. Even though adjustments were made there are still problems with Capital Punishment.

In recent years crime rate has increased in places states where the death penalty is allowed8. However, the crime rate is not nearly as high as states that outlawed the death penalty8. Countries that allow the death penalty also have high crime rates. This may show that instead of lowering the crime rate the death penalty may actually cause crime rates to increase. However, this is just a hypothesis based off of an observation. The government has tried to better the death penalty over the years yet the question still remains how do you make the death penalty? The answer to that question for some people is to simply get rid of it. Though some people may disagree simply because some crimes committed are so terrible that the person who committed them actually deserves to that death penalty. Racial bias and poverty have always been an issue in the world. Finding a solution to this problem is going to be hard. People by default would stick up for people of the same ethnicity and or religion. Someone in their group was sentenced to death is going to cause people to try and save that person. The only reason why they would not try and appeal to save the person being accused is if it is agreed on that the crime they committed was morally
