Close your eyes, and imagine you’re at work. It’s 3:00 pm and you know your ten-year-old daughter is about to leave elementary school. The thought of anyone harming her rarely ever crosses your mind. But then, she’s abducted, she’s murdered, and you’re heartbroken. You want whomever did this to pay, they deserve to be put to death. It will put you at ease knowing this horrible person is gone for eternity. He can’t hurt you, or anyone else anymore. Capital punishment is the legally authorized killing of someone as punishment for a crime. Capital punishment is a necessary punishment in an age of horror, we all as citizens have the right to feel protected from these pure evil criminals. Although, what the opponents of lethal injection claim are more than wrong. But, these killers put their victims and the victim’s family in unnecessary pain. These brutal killers have murdered people’s families and friends. Since they violate other people’s lives, it is only fair that they are brought to justice. Consequently, evidence shows that an immediate autopsy after death shows that there is no pain within the lethal injection process. In addition, death with lethal injection is over extremely fast. To illustrate how death with lethal injection is anything but painful, unconsciousness occurs within the first thirty seconds of the injection due to the drug sodium thiopental and or pentobarbital. After, the drug pancuronium bromide is injected to cause muscle paralysis and respiratory arrest. Basically putting the criminals in a coma where nothing is felt.
